In areas where fiber construction is still underway, USA Communications offers non-fiber internet plans that provide dependable connectivity over their existing network infrastructure. Customers can choose from two speed levels:

Fiber internet is a next-generation broadband technology that uses thin strands of glass or plastic fibers to transmit data as pulses of light…allowing for much faster and more reliable internet connections than traditional cable or DSL.
Unlike older technologies that rely on copper wires, fiber delivers symmetrical upload and download speeds, virtually unlimited bandwidth, and ultra-low latency, making it the best option for streaming, gaming, remote work, and smart homes.
Fiber internet delivers a direct, wired connection to your home or business, providing faster speeds, lower latency, and more consistent performance than satellite-based services. While low-earth orbit satellites can be a helpful option in remote areas, they still rely on signals traveling through space, which can introduce higher latency, weather-related disruptions, and network congestion during peak times. Fiber offers symmetrical upload and download speeds, making it ideal for streaming, gaming, video conferencing, and large file transfers. Plus, when you choose USA Communications, you benefit from responsive customer support, local technicians who understand the community, and service accountability you simply won’t get from a national satellite provider.
Fiber internet provides a dedicated, wired connection directly to your location, resulting in faster, more reliable speeds than 5G home internet, which relies on shared wireless cellular networks. Because 5G bandwidth is shared with mobile users and can be affected by network congestion, signal interference, and distance from towers, speeds may fluctuate—especially during peak usage hours. Fiber delivers consistent performance, symmetrical speeds, and ultra-low latency that supports multiple connected devices without slowdowns. Choosing USA Communications also means personalized service, quicker response times, and a customer-first approach that national mobile carriers often can’t match.

The process begins with a site evaluation to confirm service availability and schedule a convenient installation time. Technicians then run a fiber-optic line from the nearest network access point to your property, using either underground or aerial cabling depending on your layout. Inside your home or business, they install an Optical Network Terminal (ONT), which converts the fiber signal into usable internet and connects to your router or managed Wi-Fi system.
USA Communications configures your router or provides a managed Wi-Fi solution to optimize performance across all your devices. After setup, technicians test your connection to ensure you’re receiving the correct speed tier and verify that all devices are online. You’ll also receive guidance on managing your network, setting passwords, and accessing support if needed.

Technical & Setup FAQs
To connect multiple devices to your USA Communications Wi-Fi network, simply locate your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password—usually found on a sticker on your router or provided during installation. On each device, go to the Wi-Fi settings, select your network name, and enter the password. Once connected, your devices will automatically reconnect when in range. If you’re using USA Communications’ Managed Wi-Fi service, our team can help optimize your network for multiple users and devices, ensuring strong, reliable coverage throughout your home.
USA Communications’ fiber internet connects directly to an Optical Network Terminal (ONT), so no separate modem is required. You’re free to use your own router as long as it’s compatible with the speed tier you’ve selected. For best performance, we recommend a router that supports Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E, has multi-gig Ethernet ports, and offers strong coverage for your home size. If you prefer a hassle-free setup, USA Communications also offers Managed Wi-Fi with select plans, which includes professional installation and remote support.
You can test your internet speed by visiting a trusted speed test site like speedtest.net or fast.com from any device connected to your Wi-Fi or wired network. For the most accurate results, connect your device directly to your router using an ethernet cable and close any background apps or downloads. This will give you a clear picture of your current download and upload speeds, helping you confirm your plan’s performance or troubleshoot slow connections.
